After decades of being known as &#8220;the attorney&#8221; or &#8220;the program manager,&#8221; the prospect of becoming &#8220;just retired&#8221; can feel like losing a core part of our identity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #001085;\">These fears are completely normal, but they shouldn&#8217;t overshadow the opportunities that lie ahead.\u00a0<strong>Retirement isn&#8217;t an ending \u2013 it&#8217;s a graduation into a new chapter of life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #001085;\">The key lies in approaching this transition with purpose and passion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #001085;\">Take my friend Mike, for example. After retiring, he discovered a passion for chess that evolved into teaching children and organizing tournaments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #001085;\">Another colleague, Keith, transformed his love for photography into a thriving second act, traveling the country in his van and selling his work through calendars and prints.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #001085;\">What activities make you lose track of time? This is often the first clue to finding your purpose.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #001085;\">For me, that purpose came through creating content to help others navigate their own retirement journeys.
